The latest single from French electronic producer Yakie epitomizes the artist’s signature combination of melancholy and uplifting. As a melodic techno track, composition of piano and synths evolve a dark and mysterious sound into a warm and celebratory energy.

The accompanying video, directed by Julien Capelle, is a black and white film grain quality moving image that shows motifs of travel and movement, from roadsides to birds flying, bringing this together with abstractions of nature, water, flowers, and a pace that references a mystical and ephemeral energy of the earth. Filmed in 4:3 aspect ratio, the picture itself gives the feeling of found archival footage, rooting the story in human history. Ultimately, the depiction of the piano in a field unifies the production of the track directly with the film’s storyline.
